Advice for every stage of your solar journey.

Whether you're starting from scratch, adding to an existing system, or just want a second opinion on a quote you've been given — we can help.

Service 01

Domestic Solar PV

A properly-sized rooftop solar system for your home — designed around your actual electricity usage, not a generic template.

Most solar installers will happily sell you the biggest system that fits on your roof. That's not always what's best for you. We'll look at your annual usage, your daily pattern, your roof pitch and orientation, and any shading, then recommend a system that will actually pay back — with headroom for adding a battery or EV later if that suits.

Typical scope: Between 4 kW and 12 kW for most UK homes. All-black panels available for aesthetics. Tier-1 manufacturers only. String or hybrid inverter depending on your setup.

  • Access to time-of-use tariffs
  • Existing solar with high export
  • Backup power requirement
Service 02

Battery Storage

New batteries alongside solar, or retrofit to an existing system — sized to actually pay back, not to inflate the invoice.

Batteries are the area where we most often disagree with installers. They can transform how much of your own solar you use, and unlock cheap-rate overnight charging on tariffs like Octopus Go and Cosy — but they can also be oversold, oversized, or fitted at prices that don't make economic sense. We'll model your usage against a range of battery options and tell you honestly what works.

Typical scope: 5 kWh to 20 kWh depending on your usage pattern. AC-coupled retrofits or DC-coupled hybrid systems. Battery-only installs available for grid-arbitrage use cases.

EV Charging

Home chargers designed to work with your solar — so you're driving on sunshine, not on grid electricity at peak rates.

If you've got or you're planning solar, the type of EV charger you pick matters a lot. Solar-diverting chargers (like myenergi's zappi, or newer eco-mode chargers from Ohme and Hypervolt) can direct surplus generation to your car instead of exporting it. It's often the difference between a good return on your solar and a great one.

Typical scope: 7 kW single-phase chargers, tethered or untethered. Solar-diversion capable. Load-balancing when installed alongside heat pumps or high-draw appliances.

Service 04

Commercial & Agricultural

Larger installs for businesses, warehouses and farms — including tax-advantageous funding routes, PPAs, and roof-lease structures.

Commercial solar is a different beast. The technical decisions are bigger, the financial structures are more complex, and the difference between a good and bad deal is often measured in six figures. We help business owners, facilities managers and farmers work through DNO applications, funding options (including full-CapEx, finance and PPA), tax reliefs like the Annual Investment Allowance, and roof-lease arrangements where they suit.

Typical scope: 30 kW to 500 kW rooftop installs. Ground-mount options for suitable land. Half-hourly settlement analysis. Business-case modelling for stakeholders.

Quote Review

Already got a quote from another installer? Send it to us. We'll tell you what's fair, what's inflated, and what's missing.

Most quotes look confident until you know what to look for. We regularly see quotes with £2,000+ of "fluff" — hidden margins, unnecessary extras, cheap components disguised behind fancy names, or missing critical items like isolators, DNO applications, or bird proofing. We'll go through your quote line by line and give you a plain-English breakdown of where you stand.

You'll get: A written review, a list of questions to ask the installer, an assessment of the components, and — if you want — an alternative quote from one of our vetted partners for comparison.

What we check

  • Component tier & brand quality
  • Realistic vs. inflated pricing

  • MCS & RECC compliance check

When to book a health check

  • Generation lower than expected
  • Original installer has vanished
  • Cold-call about "system upgrades"
  • Thinking of adding battery/EV

System Health Check

Already have solar? We'll tell you if it's earning what it should — and warn you if you're being targeted by scammers.

There's been a wave of scam calls in the UK targeting existing solar owners: fake "voltage regulator" fitters, bogus warranty extensions, "MCS re-certifications" that don't exist. Some of these have cost homeowners thousands. If you've been contacted about your system out of the blue, get us to take a look before you pay anyone anything. Genuine health checks from us are quick, affordable and honest.
